Jelly Palm / Butia Capitata Seeds

Jelly Palm, known also by Pindo Palm, or Butia capitata. These are a slow growing, cold tolerant palm tree once established. Known for it's stunning appearance, and also for the jams, jellies, and wines made from the fruit. Can grow up to 15-25 ft (4.5-7.6 meters) tall, given the most ideal growing conditions, however in colder climates, it can grow much smaller than this. USDA growing zone 8a-11. This palm once mature can tolerate temperature down to 10° F(-12°C). It also grows in zone 7b with some protection over winter.
